In The Midst of Finals

Why can't computer science courses be like philosphy courses? I just smoked my philosophy final and now its all about calculus baby. Friday can't come soon enough ... this will be the first summer without summer school in a very very very long time.

Semester Speeding Towards an End

With less than a month left in this semester it is becoming apparent just how much work there is still to complete. Here is a shopping list (more to remind me than to inform you):

7 Mini Papers
1 Term Paper
3 Presentations
1 Simulation Project
1 Artificial Intelligence Project
1 Calculus Midterm
2 More Weeks Worth of Calc Assignments
3 Final Exams (Calc, Phil, A.I.)

Oh well I guess it’s a good thing I am going on vacation tomorrow until after Easter. Oh and to Fontana for 5 days the next week…. The best part is that all my classes on the Thursday and Friday before the race have been canceled. It has to be an omen … or at least a good excuse

Well Super Bowl Sunday has come and gone… who won anyway? What's with Mariah Carrey … remember when she could sing? I didn't even notice any spectacular commercials this year -- what a let-down.

School is back in full effect and it looks like this semester is going to be a busy one. Every class requires huge projects that will take an unknown (but large) amount of time. Sounds like a formula for disaster to me. Various projects I have to complete: Write a MS Paint type app in Java, Build a basic computer from circuit components using some cheesy software called LogicWorks, write about 6 C++ programs that supposedly show how a database works, write some type of Palm OS program (not yet defined by instructor), write a program that takes three letters as input and produces a 3D stereogram image with the three letters hidden in it. Have you ever seen these posters where you are supposed to stare at it for like an hour or so and then some 3-D image describing the secret to the universe or the name of the lone gunman pops out?

Three Day Weekend!

How sweet it is. The first week of the semester is in the bag and we have three days to re-coup. Bulldogs play Oregon State on Sunday should be a great game I may go if I finish the homework.

Wanted to say Happy Anniversary to Jamie's folks, even though they don't have a computer anymore =)

It seems that this site has become the educational rant center. I like it. Today was the third day of class and the third day of over 100 degree weather (that's Fahrenheit for you foreign whackos). So far so good, a lot of reading and a ton of physics homework.. anyone know what Coulomb's Law is all about?

Oh by the way Anch, AP really stands for ... Almost Passing.

rant on.
