I've recently uploaded all of my photos to flickr (all 5,000 of them). While the majority of them are set to private, the ones I share on the website aren't. I'll be removing the photo gallery section of this website soon since Flickr just makes my life easier in so many ways.

It was fun checking out all of my old photos, but I still get the biggest kick out of pictures of Claire and Chloe. Like this one of the girls in their Cadillac of a stroller.

Claire and Chloe in Stroller

That photo was taken back in September, now the girls don't need their car seats when cruising the neighborhood. They just sit in the stroller like big girls with their feet dangling over the front.

Well the times, they are a changing. I'm in the middle of moving my blog and other site content to a new server and content management system. So for the time being there isn't much here, but the blog entries, photos and chat room should be back before too long.

Check. one. two.

Is this thing still on? *blows the dust off the old website* Well I was kind of waiting around for the guys over at www.communityserver.org to come out with their product. Thinking I could use their blog/forum/photo album solution for this sites next incarnation. Well, as so often happens when developers realize that their projects are pretty good and some people would pay to use them... the community server guys are planning to charge. Cha-Ching ... good old information super toll highway. Anyway I am not going to pay for something that doesn't fit my needs exactly which CS doesn't. So I'll be re-doing everything from scratch in the background. In the meantime feel free to stare at this same old boring page. The chatroom might actually have some action in it, if you are so inclined.

We have rebuilt it. We have the technology. We have the capability to make the world's first Bionic website. ThePaul.com will be that site. Better than it was before. Better . . . stronger . . . faster.

After a three week hiatis ThePaul dotcom is back and better than ever. How is it better? To answer that question we must first understand how it was good to begin with... and we don't.. so too bad.

Oh and my email works again too ... so all you spammers better get caught up on all the viagra ads that have been bouncing back.

I've been working on a new look for this website.. I figure 2+ years is plenty for this old mixing board scheme. Not sure how long it will take to finish up the new design, I'm also upgrading the chat room and trying to come up with a way to combine my photo album and "blog" databases into one integrated system. Stay tuned.

Death of Live365

Freaquent listners of ThePaul.com radio (both of you) might notice that the Live365 station is down. Sad to say -- it isn't coming back. Thanks to the nice people at CRAP .. uh I mean CARP (Copyright Arbitration Royalty Panel) there are now fees associated with being an "internet broacaster". Although Live365 has been charging for their service for the last year I was lucky enough to have created my account early on and never had to pay.

I thought I'd try something new as far as streaming MP3s goes. Now when you click on the Listen button you will be taken to a page which will let you browse a small portion of my MP3 collection. Whenever I get around to it, I'll rotate in different tracks.

I suppose that this still falls under the same laws that Live365 has to follow, but the charge of .07 cents, per song, per performance, per listener doesn't apply since I have no listeners (loophole).

We're still recovering from the total re-install over the weekend. Chatrooms and my E-mail are still down... Is there a doctor in the house?

Some photos from the wedding and reception are linked from the "Quick Links" section on the side of the page. These were taken by my dad and Kit. Eventually I will get around to resizing, cropping, trashing the unflattering ones and adding them to the photo album. For now I am not even able to use photoshop from my computer because it is a piece of crap. So until I fix it or use my laptop to do the editing you will just have to suffer.

We're off for a week of fishing and relaxing in the Sierra Nevadas in the morning so this will probably be the last update for a while.

All Things Spam

Mom AKA Mum never ceases to amazing me with her Spam archiving abilities. She is officially deemed "The Keeper of All Things Spam". Check out the new and improved Spam Archives and read all about the chat room antics that started so long ago at the now deceased Mr. Showbiz website. Be sure to pop into the chatroom and let her know what you think.

Update 1/31/2007 - I have removed the Spam Archives and chatroom from the website. The chatroom has been replaced with a forum. A lot of the people from the old Mr. Showbiz chatrooms still drop in from time to time.
