Super Bowl Party

Tagged:

Whew, I think I am finally recovered from last night's Super Bowl Party. They really need to move that thing to a Saturday. Or better yet, make the Monday after a national Holiday. I am not really sure who won... or who was in it for that matter, but the eats and drinks were good. I borrowed a projector from work and Tom got it hooked up to his cable box. So we had a pretty good sized screen projected onto the wall. It didn't look too bad once the sun started to go down.

Pretty much the whole gang was there, even Jamie's parents came which was a bonus.

Well It Was A Great Run

... but Sampras got wasted by Hewitt. I think I hate this cocky Aussie more than Agassi. I was so depressed that I finished my physics homework a day early... =)

p.s. Sampras is still the man.

What A Week For Sports!

"It's official -- Fresno State is no longer a surprise team. After shocking Colorado and Oregon State earlier, the Bulldogs rallied from 10 down to top No. 23 Wisconsin 32-20 Saturday. It's no big deal to Pat Hill, whose Bulldogs are making pollsters and the BCS take notice." – ESPN.com

”In another command performance that buttressed the contention that he is the best player of all time, Pete Sampras jumped all over defending champion Marat Safin 6-3 7-6 (5) 6-3 to gain his seventh U.S. Open final on Saturday.” - US Open.org

Wow! All my guys are going great this week… and I don’t have many guys.

On an unrelated note, Netscape really sucks….

Sampras Is Still The Man

Sampras beats Agassi... all is right with the world.

When I was in high school a match between these two guys was like the biggest thing ever! Lately everyone has been harping on Sampras saying he is old and he has lost his touch. His ranking and recent matches haven't done much to dispel this. On the other hand all you hear about Agassi is how he is in top form ... in better shape than ever and so on. I have never liked Agassi... all I can remember is a long haired punk with different colored socks acting bad, but getting stomped by Sampras. So whether Sampras advances any further in the U.S. Open or not, I will still be a happy tennis fan!
